BHT Cycle Challenges

BHT’s Cycle Challenges are annual family-friendly fundraising events that take place at the Preston Park Velodrome, the oldest in the country.

Working with the Marketing and Fundraising team I was responsible for building the brand, logo design, website section design and build, content management and marketing, digital campaign templates for email newsletters and social media, printed materials both large and small scale as well as editorial and logistic contributions. I also provided photography at both events.

The 2018 event saw us working in partnership with The Living Coast UNESCO World Biosphere Region in order to extend the event’s scope, and I also produced print and digital materials that were sympathetic to their brand.

From a technical standpoint the registration process and customer journey had to be as simple and accessible as possible, and a large portion of the work became a testbed for the recently introduced GDPR regulations.

The web campaign had to be easy to navigate as well as being sensitive to the marketing requirements of our partner organisation.
I provided comprehensive information about the event and had to ensure that all information was available in as many formats as possible. The web campaign was supported by regular enewsletter mailouts.
POS printed materials included banners and other signage right down to collection pot stickers.
Other printed materials included a Cyclists' Information Pack, various compliance forms as well as posters for both internal and external print and distribution. These were also available through the web campaign in digital formats.
Digital campaign materials included cycling maps that had to be sympathetic to our partners' brand, Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook headers and imagery to support website news stories.
I provided photography for both events. This stood BHT to good stead for future campaign materials.
